Having grown up learning to box from his father who was a champion boxer in the Army, Nat joined All Stars Boxing Gym in London when he was 9 years old. He had his first bout at 11 and boxed competitively for 8 years until he was 19.
He had much success and competed at a very high level of amateur boxing, fighting across England and Ireland as well as sparring with top boxers such as TMT Star Ashley Theophane and former world number 3 Ajose Olesegun. He stopped competing after suffering a bad injury but has continued to train and study boxing tirelessly.
His passion for boxing meant that though he pursued other careers, he never strayed far from the gym and from boxing in general. In 2014 he formed Fighting Fit London with Romaine Foster and Jamal Akay to pursue his passion of passing on all he had learned during his boxing career and get people in shape. He is a qualified ABA certified trainer.
As a boxer Jamal had great success winning the London Mayors Cup twice, ABA London and South England Champion as well a National finalist and two time box cup gold medallist.
